 n[Awakening For Earth](awakeningforearth.com) started a new chapter in New
 buryport\, MA!\n\nResidents of Newburyport will be holding Sitting for Sur
 vival meditations to bear witness to our current climate emergency and in 
 doing so\, strive to awaken others to see and take action.\n\n**Where: ** 
 22 Market Sq\, Newburyport\, MA 01950\n\n**When: ** Every other Sunday fro
 m 12 - 12:45PM\n\nWe will sit distanced with signs that we will provide or
  you can bring your own. Please come masked.\n\n-----\n\n**Who We Are:**\n
 We are spiritual practitioners dedicated to facing the climate crisis with
  compassion and determination to engage in nonviolent direct action. We se
 e climate justice within the framework of social justice and commit to adv
 ocating for policies that empower communities most impacted by climate cha
 nge.\n\n**What We Do:**\nWe invoke our mindfulness practice to hold the pa
 in of this ecological and spiritual crisis. We bring silent sitting and wa
 lking meditation to public spaces to raise awareness to the devastating ef
 fects of our planetary emergency and the urgent need to take personal and 
 collective action.\nRecognizing the need for regeneration in this consumin
 g effort\, we invite pauses to be in community\, to care for one another a
 nd nourish ourselves\, bringing the energy of love and understanding to su
 stain this demanding effort.\n\nDuring the pandemic\, we have been working
  towards our goals through virtual gatherings. As the days get warmer\, we
  are now doing a combination of outdoor protest and virtual regenerative p
