 t 10th**\nWant to be a better organizer for XR?\n\nLong-time labor organiz
 er and worker educator Tim Dean (bio below) will lead a 4-hour training (+
  30 min lunch) on how to be an effective organizer. He is tailoring his kn
 owledge to fit the particular needs of XR. \n\nRebels who participate will
  leave with a deeper understanding of how to engage people\, listen to the
 m and meet them were they are\, and help them in joining XR and our expand
 ing non-violent civil disobedience. This will be particularly valuable for
  people in Action\, Outreach and Media working groups\, in the Stand Out\,
  in Affinity Groups\, but all active XR members are welcome. \n\nThe sessi
 on will be 4.5 hours in length. About 2/3 will be Tim’s training\, the r
 est will be discussion on applying it to XR. **Lunch will be provided\, wi
 th vegan and GF options.**\n\nBio: Tim Dean is a long-time labor organizer
  and educator\, primarily with SEIU 1199\, health care workers. Now retire
 d\, for many years Tim led the Boston union’s worker education program w
 here he helped SEIU workers and organizers gain deeper knowledge of labor 
 and social struggles as well as organizing skills. He also helped other lo
 cals in the northeast with their education programs.
