  National Forest. We will be having a Valentine's Day twitterstorm to remi
 nd everyone to love their national forests. \nLetting our trees stand is t
 he best way to remove and store atmospheric carbon dioxide. We must save l
 ife on earth.\n\nHowever\, our government feels otherwise. Did you know th
 at the US National Forest Service:\n\n1.  Has logged or plans to log over 
 43\,000 acres of the Green Mountain National Forest? This area is approxim
 ately the size of Washington DC. The proposed Telephone Gap Project will o
 pen up 11\,000 additional acres\, larger than the entire area of Burlingto
 n\, VT?\n2.  Spends hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars annually subs
 idizing commercial logging activities?\n3.  Allows private companies to cu
 t down trees\, mine for coal\, drill for oil and gas\, and bulldoze pipeli
 ne routes in US National Forests?\n4.  Has traditionally viewed trees as c
 rops and has prioritized timber harvests in the US National Forests?\n\nHe
