 n\nJoin us on Saturday\, May 6th at 2:30pm at Boston City Hall to rally fo
 r a sustainable future and call on the city of Boston to endorse the inter
 national Plant Based Treaty.\n\nAt 2:30pm\, we’ll convene outside Boston
  City Hall to chant and hear from a coalition of local activists\, environ
 mentalists\, student leaders\, and more. The goal is to bring attention to
  the first annual Vegan Climate March taking place the same day in cities 
 around the world\, while starting Boston's journey to endorse the Plant Ba
 sed Treaty off with a bang.\n\nWhy a Plant Based Treaty? Because animal ag
 riculture accounts for more greenhouse gas emissions than every mode of tr
 ansportation on Earth combined. There is no way to achieve climate justice
  without addressing the cow in the room. The Plant Based Treaty aims to:\n
 \n1. Halt the widespread degradation of critical ecosystems caused by anim
 al agriculture\n\n2. Promote a shift to more healthy\, sustainable\, plant
 -based diets\n\n3. Actively reverse damage done to planetary functions\, e
 cosystem services\, and biodiversity\n\nThis is a key opportunity to make 
 our collective voice heard\, for the environment\, the animals\, and the f
 uture safety of us all – so let's get out there and make some noise! 
 📢\n\nThe event concludes at 3:30pm. Afterwards\, attendees have the opt
 ion to participate in additional activism hosted by the Boston Animal Acti
 vists.\n\nNo need to bring anything other than yourself\, and weather-appr
