  aims to create a system of government in which decisions about the climat
 e crisis are made by People's Assembly. To practice that style of governan
 ce\, we are hosting a People's Assembly to discuss how best to steward the
  finances for our chapter! The board members of our current fiscal sponsor
  (CDA EF) are stepping down by September 1\, and we have the opportunity t
 o make a recommendation for new board members for the nonprofit by July 31
 . These volunteers would step into the roles over the course of August\, t
 o allow for a smooth handoff and training period during August and ensure 
 legal compliance with the corporation officer requirements (i.e.\, Preside
 nt\, Treasurer\, and Clerk) imposed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.\
 n\nAre you interested in serving on the board of a Nonprofit? Are you inte
 rested in encouraging fellow community members to step into those roles? A
 re you generally interested in making sure the chapter's finances are stew
 arded with integrity? **Join us from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm to discuss options
  for fiscal sponsorship and confer on who might make a good board member f
 or CDA EF. Light vegan snacks will be served.**\n\nIf you would like to vo
 lunteer to serve on the Board\, please present yourself at the People’s
