 nLearn how to take part in XR actions at this non-violent direct action tr
 aining! This training is for people who are interested in potentially doin
 g civil disobedience as well as people who want to play support roles for 
 our actions.\n\nYou will learn how to engage in non-violent civil disobedi
 ence. We will cover some theory behind direct actions\, discuss the logist
 ics of arrest and potential legal implications\, and talk about the many d
 ifferent roles (beyond risking arrest) that are crucial to successful acti
 ons. You will get to talk to a few people who have gone through the arrest
  process and ask questions you might have.\n\nWe recommend that you attend
  an 'Heading for Extinction' talk and an XR orientation before you attend 
 our NVDA training. You can find these events on our calendar. We recommend
  these because understanding the climate science and more about XR will he
 lp you figure out how you'd like to be involved.\n\nIf you cannot attend t
 hese events\, you are still welcome to attend the training. Instead of the
  in-person events\, you may want to watch a version of the Heading for Ext
 inction talk online (e.g. [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2VkC4Snw
 Y0)).\n\nThere is on street parking around the church if you are coming vi
 a car. The church is ~25 minute walk from Alewife Station or a short ride 
 via the MBTA [350](https://www.mbta.com/schedules/350/line) bus. Get off a
 t the Foster Street stop. You will see the church across the street.
