[Solidarity] Delayed State Action is Breaking Our Hearts

You are invited to a Valentine’s Day climate action with Massachusetts Youth Climate Coalition on Mon. Feb. 14, 3 pm at the State House: Delayed State Action is Breaking Our Hearts. Love is strong in our movement and in our communities. We show our love for each other by working towards critical social change, advocating for legislative action around decarceration, housing, immigrant, Indigenous, racial, and climate justice. Every day that passes without State legislative action on these issues breaks our hearts. We know that Black, Indigenous, People of Color, immigrant, working class communities, and all oppressed people are harmed by the current status quo. We learned recently that across our movements, the decision to move our bills forward was delayed, some for several months. Some of these bills have been delayed for a decade, while each day our communities are being impacted by inaction. It is with our broken hearts and fierce love for each other that we will gather united in calling for action at 3pm in front of the State House (and live-streamed) to lift up our priorities together.
