Where is winter? The record breaking warmth in the past few months reminds us to get in touch with the natural world. Make sure you appreciate life on earth even though the climate crisis clock is ticking.

Join us for a procession featuring the Red Rebels and the XR Boston light boxes on Tuesday February 28 at 5:30pm. We will be honoring the creatures of the earth and mourning the sixth mass extinction.

The procession will start from the Free Puppet Library at 15 Public Alley #437 near the Public Garden. Then we will head to the Commonwealth Avenue Mall in the Back Bay. Here is a map of the route.

The Red Rebel Brigade, founded in 2018 in connection with XR UK, is a troupe of individuals that move together as one. Dressed in red, which symbolizes the lifeblood that connects all species and unifies us all, the Reds give witness to all that is precious on this good Earth.

The XR Boston light boxes are each designed by members of the chapter with ecological themes. They serve as lanterns and are especially evocative in an evening procession. Join us to take part in this moving event.

Sign-up on this page so we can better plan the procession. We still need participants to carry the light boxes. Also, we will notify you if the event is canceled because of bad weather. There is no rain date.
