Statehouse Standout

State House Standout for No New Fossil Fuel Infrastructure

Thursday, Jun 19

Every Tuesday and Thursday between 10am and 2pm volunteers stand out at the Statehouse for 2-hour "shifts" either outside or inside depending on weather, and interact with visitors, legislators and Statehouse staff about the Climate Crisis. While there we keep up a daily stream of written messages on prepared cards that are signed and hand delivered to legislator's offices.

This is a great way to participate in the climate movement with no risk of arrest! Our persistent presence is our superpower, and we are now into our third year of this action. To get involved feel free to show up at any of the times listed above and connect with volunteers already on site. To find us check first the General Hooker entrance from Beacon Street and, if we are not there check the Ashburton entrance on Bowdoin Street. Signs, tabards and handouts are supplied. If you have questions please contact organizers at fossilfuels.standout.ma@proton.meState
