[Solidarity] "Peaker Push" Grassroots Canvass against New Gas Plant

Extinction Rebellion (XR) Boston has been partnering with Breathe Clean North Shore in their fight against a NEW proposed fossil fuel power plant in their community. New fossil fuel infrastructure cannot be installed if we are going to hit the state's (insufficient) 2050 net zero goals - as they are built with the intention to last 30-50 years.

In XR's recent action at Governor Baker's house, we demanded that he conduct a health and safety assessment for this power plant before moving forward with construction. So now join us in support of Breathe Clean North Shore in their community to raise awareness about this plant and build people power!

The group is collecting signatures on their petition on Saturday Nov 13th (time TBD) and then at this action on the 17th, we're going to deliver a petition to Secretary Theoharides at a rally/press event at her office. Help us collect signatures on this gorgeous fall weekend.
