[SOLIDARITY] Polluters Pay Campaign Kickoff

Friday, Mar 17

If you are planning to make it, please sign up here

Join 350 Mass, Mass Youth Climate Coalition, and Mass Power Forward along with our lead sponsors Senator Eldridge and Representative Owens to kickoff the Polluters Pay Campaign! We will be gathering in person at the Commander's Mansion (440 Talcott Ave, Watertown) and virtually at a Mass Power Forward watch party!

Fossil fuel companies have knowingly endangered us all for decades, putting our lives and livelihoods at risk. Sign up here and join us on Friday, March 17 to Make Polluters Pay!

The Polluters Pay Bill (HD.3460/SD.2366, An Act Establishing a Climate Change Superfund and Promoting Polluters Responsibility) will finally make the biggest polluters start to pay for the harm they've caused through the years. Using those funds, it will create a climate superfund that will generate $75 billion over the next 25 years for climate adaptation projects. This influx of funding will support projects statewide, defending communities from sea level rise, catastrophic storms, extreme heat, and other climate impacts. The projects will be mandated to prioritize fair labor standards and public health, supporting a just transition. Massachusetts needs to Make Polluters Pay! For more information, take a look at the Polluters Pay Fact Sheet and FAQ's.

Please join us at the Commander's Mansion at 440 Talcott Ave, Watertown, MA 02472 on Friday, March 17 at 9:30 AM for our Polluters Pay Campaign Kickoff. The Campaign Kickoff will include speeches from our sponsors Senator Eldridge and Representative Owens, and remarks from leaders across the climate movement.
