Arrest Support Training
Are you curious to learn more about different support roles for Extinction Rebellion Boston?
Join us for this session of this training series for
- Arrest support: Provides direct personal support for arrestable people. They have all relevant personal information, will take the call from the police station, provide support when released at the police station by bringing water, snacks, and making sure everyone gets home safely. They also can be contact to your loved ones, and make sure to feed your plants or water your goldfish.

Action planning 101: Learn how to plan an action for Extinction Rebellion with principles, logistics, and how to create a narrative.

Non-violent Direct Action Training: This training is for people who are interested in potentially doing civil disobedience as well as people who want to play support roles for our actions.

Peacekeeping & Deescalation: Help guide people where to go and keep protest safe by blocking traffic block of streets for us along the parade route.

Police Liaison: Conveys information and demands between the police and the group before/during actions. Helps to keep the police calm and reminds them of our non-violence.

Media Support: Helps facilitate the interactions between the group and the media. Prepares press releases, coordinates photography, live-streaming, and footage to edit.

Self-organizing Systems Facilitation: learn how to facilitate meetings, make decision and learn from them in XR's decentralized structure and unlock the leadership in it.
