Marshal Training

To move safely and effectively through the streets, all marches and public roadway disruptions need good marshals. If you’re looking for a way to step up your involvement at XR Boston's actions, becoming a marshal is a great way to get started. 

In preparation for our Earth Day 2024 event we are hosting an in-person marshal training session at the Community Church of Boston from 6-7:30pm. Food with vegan options will be provided. We'll be going over how to safely move in and out of intersections, how to make quick decisions as a group, and how to de-escalate tense situations. This training will cover almost all of the basic knowledge you’ll need to marshal effectively at our public march at Earth Day 2024, or at any event in the future.
