[NEW DATE] Organize and Agitate: How to Be a Better Organizer Through Conversations
Postponed, new date is Saturday August 10th Want to be a better organizer for XR?
Long-time labor organizer and worker educator Tim Dean (bio below) will lead a 4-hour training (+ 30 min lunch) on how to be an effective organizer. He is tailoring his knowledge to fit the particular needs of XR.
Rebels who participate will leave with a deeper understanding of how to engage people, listen to them and meet them were they are, and help them in joining XR and our expanding non-violent civil disobedience. This will be particularly valuable for people in Action, Outreach and Media working groups, in the Stand Out, in Affinity Groups, but all active XR members are welcome.
The session will be 4.5 hours in length. About 2/3 will be Tim’s training, the rest will be discussion on applying it to XR. Lunch will be provided, with vegan and GF options.
