[solidarity] Legal Observer Training with the National Lawyers Guild

Please join for the first legal oberserver training by the National Lawyers Guild (NLG) for XR members and friends.

NLG Legal Observers (LOs) are present at protests and demonstrations, and often serve as witnesses at subsequent trials. They can also serve as deterrents to police misconduct. The very presence of a Legal Observer sends a signal to police and activists that events will be documented. Such documentation can and will be used in criminal and/or civil cases arising out of the demonstration.
